Hi all:

I've installed Debian GNU/Hurd in a old Pentium 4 machine (512 MB RAM, £00
GB IDE disk and IDE DVD reader).

The installation finished correctly, but during the installation I saw many
errors in hd2 device (cdrom). (attached files). The installer shows this
errors during a few minutes, and then continues the installation correctly.

I used the latest Debian GNU/Hurd image (
http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/ports/current/hurd-i386/20180603/debian-sid-hurd-i386-CD-1.iso),
but I found same error in Debian GNU/Hurd 2017 DVD1 image

Do you know what can be the cause of this error?

Hello,

Do you know what can be the cause of this error?
This looks like hardware errors, i.e. either the drive or the media.

The error appears with many different CD and DVD, May can be the CD/DVD
reader, but I don't know if this is a driver problem or physical problem

How can I check drivers?

I wrote "drive", not "driver", i.e. I meant the reader. It's the reader
itself which is reporting an error.

Ok. Then I'll try to change the CD reader.

Thanks
