Hello! I am interested in helping you write the documentation for The
GNU Hurd.
I am a pre graduate student and it's going to be my project for a
class. I would be more than happy to contribute!

Hello!

There's several ways that you could help.

The wiki would be a pretty great place to start! And relatively easy.

This web page gives an overview about how to contribute to the online
wiki.

https://www.gnu.org/software/hurd/contributing/web_pages.html

Send your patches to bug-***@gnu.org. No one uses the web-hurd mailing
list.

Some things you could do:

https://notabug.org/jbranso/cheatsheets/src/master/hurd.org#wiki

https://notabug.org/jbranso/cheatsheets/src/master/hurd.org#copyread-the-arch-hurd-installation-page-somewhere--its-got-lots-of-good-details

I made a video a while ago showing you how to edit the wiki:

You might also look into editing the official Hurd documentation.

https://www.gnu.org/software/hurd/doc/hurd_toc.html#SEC_Contents

You could try to change this section:

https://www.gnu.org/software/hurd/doc/hurd_4.html#SEC18

The Hurd no longer uses the libthreads. Instead we use libpthreads.

Maybe my online cheatsheet would be helpful to try to understand some
hurd concepts:

Hi!

Reposting this, so that "evergetis" can actually see the answer, when not
(yet?) subscribed to the bug-hurd mailing list. (It's good practice to
not strip off recipients when replying.)

Thanks for the offer to help with documentation, and thanks Joshua for
guidance!
